Dave Fedor
Head Coach | 3rd Season | 16-40
David Fedor was named the fourth Head Coach in the history of Georgian Court Men's Basketball, May 23, 2024.
During his first season in 2024-25, he led the team to more overall and conference wins than any other first-year head coach in Georgian Court Men's Basketball history. Fedor also coached the first-ever All-Region player in team history as Cam Edmonds made the D2CCA All-Region Team after becoming just the second All-CACC First Team selection in team history.
His second year the team took a big jump, making the CACC Postseason for just the third time in program history. After finishing 7-13 in the CACC regular season, the Lions were the No. 7 seed and nearly pulled off an upset in the CACC First Round, falling at No. 2 Goldey-Beacom by one, 88-87. Georgian Court's 10 wins are just the second time GCU has won double-digit games in program history.
For the second straight season, Fedor led Cam Edmonds to First Team All-CACC honors, the first Lion to ever make the All-CACC First Team twice. Edmonds finishes his career with a number of school records including the single game, single season and career scoring records.
Fedor came to Georgian Court after spending the previous six seasons as an assistant coach with NCAA Division I Robert Morris. With the Colonials, Fedor worked primarily with the forwards. In 2022, senior Kahliel Spear became the first RMU basketball student-athlete in Division I to make the All-Conference Team and be named an Academic All-American in the same season.
Fedor is no stranger to New Jersey or Georgian Court, having spent four years in Neptune, NJ with the Hoop Group first as Assistant Director of Team Tournaments before being promoted to Director of Team Tournament, a position he held for three years. He was also a member of the Georgian Court coaching staff during their second year as a program in 2014-15.
During his first stint with GCU, Fedor served as the recruiting coordinator and was responsible for opponent scouting and player development. He also was the director of GCU’s camps and clinics.
Fedor got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Rutgers University. In his GA role from 2012-14, Fedor managed and maintained the Scarlet Knights’ recruiting database and schedule for all coaches, monitored academic progress and coordinated community service projects. He served as the Scarlet Knights director of team and summer camps and was in charge of hiring and training student managers.
In the three years with Rutgers Basketball prior to becoming a graduate assistant, Fedor was the Scarlet Knights’ Head Manager. He graduated from Rutgers with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management degree in 2012 and with a Masters in Management and Labor Relations in 2014. The Hamilton, NJ native was a two-year letterwinner at Steinert High School and team captain during his final season.
David and his wife, Amanda, have one daughter, Juliet, and a son, Jake.
