On Sunday, October 18th, the GCU Community, including about 150 student-athletes, coaches and athletics personnel, participated in the CROP Walk, raising approximately $2,500. A percentage of the funds will stay in the local area and be donated to Interfaith Hospitality, whcih provides temporary housing and meals to homeless families.
Chelsea Long, senior softball player and President of SAAC, stated, "Participating in the CROP walk is a great way to show how much our GCU community cares. Many of us do not understand what it is like to be hungry so we walk for those who do not know what it is like to be full."
