New Haven, Conn.- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its first edition of weekly awards for women's soccer Tuesday afternoon, which included Georgian Court University's Lizzy Kroon (Fr.-Bayville, N.J.) and Casey O'Connor (Jr.-Toms River, N.J.).

Kroon earned CACC Rookie of the Week honors after registering two goals and an assist in her collegiate debut on Saturday, a 4-1 non-conference, home victory over the University of New Haven.

O'Connor received Defensive Player of the Week accolades after tallying eight saves, including a splendid second-half dive, to support the Lions' opening day winning effort over a Chargers' squad that had been picked to finish fourth in the Northeast-10 Conference preseason poll.

Georgian Court returns to the pitch Wednesday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. home contest vs. Chestnut Hill College.
