LAKEWOOD, NJ- Juniors Alyssa Hudgins and Mary Sancilio have been selected to compete in the 2012 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships at Colorado State University-Pueblo next week, May 24-26.

Hudgins, the Georgian Court University Athlete of the Year, will compete in the hammer throw on Thursday, May 24th.  The #15-ranked hammer thrower in the country, Hudgins will look to improve on her school record of 178’10.”

Sancilio will compete in the high jump on Saturday, May 26th.  Sancilio left her qualifying late, leaping a school record of 5’8” at the Lions' Last Chance Meet this past Sunday.  She also ranks #15 nationally.

Both Hudgins and Sancilio were part of the first recruiting class in track and field history and will now have the honor of being the first Georgian Court Track and Field Athletes to make an NCAA National Championship field.
