Lacrosse's Latteri Leads Entire Nation in Goals-Against Average and Save Percentage

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- Christine Latteri, goalkeeper for the 2010 CACC champion Georgian Court University lacrosse squad, has been declared by the NCAA Statistics Department as the national leader for all Division II netminders with a .601 save percentage and 6.48 goals-against average.

Latteri, who graduated this past May with a degree in English and participated in last month's Down Under Cup in Australia, earned MVP honors for the CACC Lacrosse Tournament after tallying seven saves in just over 48 minutes (48:19) for her 16th victory of the year in a 19-4 defeat over Holy Family University in the championship game. For the tournament, Latteri denied 20 opponent shots, including 13 in a semifinal win vs. Philadelphia University. The All-CACC first team selection ended her collegiate career with a 25-1 record (including postseason) vs. conference opponents.

Christine also had the distinct privilege of leading the country as a freshman with a .631 save percentage in 2007. Latteri will be honored later this fall by the GCU Athletics Department.
