LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University lacrosse team cruised to 3-0 Thursday afternoon with a 17-1 drubbing of St. Thomas Aquinas College (0-4) in the Lions' first game on campus this season. GCU had played its first two "home" games at Veteran Memorial Sports Complex in Brick, NJ.
Natalie Bermudez (pictured) and
Daryl Carr (1 assist) led the Lions in the scoring column with three goals apiece.
Lauren Conaty tallied two scores for her team-leading 11th and 12th goals of the year.
Ryan McGrath drilled home two scores, leaving her three shy of 100 for her collegiate career.
Christine Latteri denied seven STAC shots in 41+ minutes (41:57) to improve to a perfect 3-0 in net for GCU.
Georgian Court plays its first road contest of the year this Saturday with an 11:00 AM game at #8 Dowling College.
