WEST HAVEN, CT- Senior Stephanie Rivera has been selected to the Daktronics, Inc. All-East Region Second Team, released November 24th. Rivera, a three-time selection, also earned First Team status in 2009 and Second Team recognition in 2008.
The Toa Alta, PR native and 2010 All-CACC First Team member ranked second on the Lions with 249 kills and 76 blocks, 39 of which were of the solo variety. Rivera's hitting percentage of .243 ranked among the CACC's Top-10 as did her 0.67 blocks-per-game.
The Lions ended the year with a 12-20 record, including a regular-season conference mark of 11-8.
In total, eight institutions are represented on the 2010 Daktronics, Inc. East Region Volleyball First and Second Teams. The University of Bridgeport had two First Team honorees, while the University of New Haven and Merrimack were also represented on the First Team:
