Lions Remain Winless on Road with 66-60 Defeat at Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, NJ- The Georgian Court University basketball squad fell to 0-6 away from "The Well" Saturday afternoon as the Lions succumbed to Bloomfield College, 66-60, in a CACC match-up. The defeat snaps GCU's short-lived two-game winning streak.
Four Lions reached double-digits in the loss, including:
Shawna Wert (14 points),
Dana Wert (13 points),
Shaniqua Bacote (12 points) and
Lauren Staats (10 points). Sophomore
Christina White led all players with 10 rebounds.
GCU falls to 5-11 (2-6 CACC) while the Lady Deacons inch closer to the .500 mark at 6-8 (6-1 CACC).
Georgian Court travels to Chestnut Hill College for its next game, which takes place this Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. The Lions defeated the Lady Griffins, 77-70 in overtime, back on December 10th in the Wellness Center.
