GCU Falls to Philly U, 7-2 ... Drop to 2-3 in Conference Play

LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University tennis team fell to CACC-rival, Philadelphia University, 7-2, Thursday afternoon at GCU's Ellen Mullane Gallagher Center. The Lions (4-6, 2-3 CACC) have now lost two straight matches after a season-high, three-game winning streak.  The Lady Rams improve to 8-4 (4-1 CACC).

Natalie Grieci earned the lone singles victory for GCU, defeating Philly's Brittany Villa (Fr.) in three sets (1-6, 6-4, 7-6). In doubles, Victoria Gaffney (pictured) and Sarah Lockenmeyer topped Laura Beaver (Fr.) and Sarah Harris (Fr.), 8-3.

Georgian Court plays its third match in three days Friday afternoon when they host Millersville University at 3:30 PM.
